DAYS 3 to 5: Guided off-piste descents
After breakfast meet your local English speaking UIAGM/IFMGA professional mountain guide for a short trip briefing. Depending on the weather conditions and skiing abilities, your guide will decide with you, where to ski in the next 3 days.
Some examples:
Val Mezdí:
Ski to the Pordoi Pass, where you will take the cable car to reach the Piz Boè peak. Climb up for 15 minutes on your shoulders along the summer path and then begin 6 km of fresh snow descent to Colfosco. Descent in a magnificent environment, typically dolomitic, between rocky towers hundreds of meters high.
Powder skiing on the Marmolada Glacier:
Enjoy a day of off-piste skiing on the Marmolada glacier, also known as the "Queen of the Dolomites". Without transfers, but only with skis, you can reach the summit of the Marmolada at 3,263 m asl. After admiring the panorama, your guide will choose the best descent route (difference in altitude of 1,800 m).
The area of Cortina-5 Torri area offers several possibilities for off-piste skiing:
- Skiing 18 at Monte Faloria, where the film Cliffhanger with Sylvester Stallone was shot.
- Bus de Tofana on the Tofane, particular is the large natural hole that, crossed, leads on the opposite side of the Tofana di Mezzo from where you start the off-piste descent
- Vallon de Raola,
- Forcella Col dai Bos

DAY 6 & 7: Sellaronda & Plan de Corones – self-guided
Sellaronda
The Sellaronda is the most famous ski tour of the Dolomites. Starting from Alta Badia, you will ski around the Sella massif, touching 4 valleys: Val Badia, Val Gardena, Val di Fassa and Val di Fodom for a total of about 40 km of skiable slopes. Ladin dinner in a typical farmhouse.
“The black five” of Plan de Corones
In the morning take a short transfer to the Plan de Corones ski resort. Ski in the beautiful ski resort with its 5 black slopes: Sylvester, Hernegg, Pre de Peres, Erta and Piculin - all together they make 26 km of difficult slopes (black, in fact), equal to 25% of the district, with slopes that for long stretches reach 60%. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the famous Messner Mountain Museum.
